Hot trailers for Jerry!
Mr. Nice is an excellent film, all over. Both funny and compelling. A true story no less! A great history of marijuana smuggling in Britain and the US through the sixties and seventies, and an amazing story of one man’s life in the middle of it. Also, a very clever use of green screening characters into period footage from the sixties.
Hot trailers for Jerry!
excellent trailer for a movie that looks as though it will be good. It looks like the unrealistic blonde love interest for the outcast is going to be counterbalanced by a heavy dose of hurtful mockery and painful life struggle!
Satan called, he wants his familiars back.

Season of the Witch, 2011
Well, it’s that time of the decade again… you know, for plague movies! Suffice it to say, if nothing else good came out of medieval christianity, it created the basis for dungeons and dragons. And that’s enough. Season of the Witch takes place somewhere around the 1300s, during the crusades, and a pestilence has attacked the european territory of Generic Medieval Europe-ia, where even seasoned british actors and actresses (Stephen Graham, Clair Foy) must speak in an ambiguous american accent. After an almost tedious beginning consisting of a ‘crusades battles’ montage back story, our heros played by nicholas cage and that guy from city of lost children find themselves roped into transporting a witch to a monastery so they can use this magic christian book that makes witches stop being magical and stuff. great scenery, atmosphere, and a super hot witch get ultimately sacked by corny dialogue, a plot full of useless developments, and an ending more disapointing than a new radiohead album; season of the witch fails on the home stretch like so many other fantasy/period films that depend too heavily on throwing money around on effects without the smart and engaging storytelling that is necessary. Worth a quick watch to quell boredom. It’s like watching willow if it had similar production quality but was written by people you would hate for their feebleness and cowardice.
If you watch this, it will be to watch Clair Foy with a demon inside her. You’ll see. Clair Foy as a satanic witch > Clair Foy as a normal medieval girl. It’s just simple math.
Oh yeah, and at the end they fight a bunch of keltic monk demon zombie ninjas. Not nearly as fun as it sounds.
